One of the most acclaimed PC games of all time, the Half Life series has got a new leak about the Episode 3 of Half Life 2. Yes, Half Life 3 Plot is revealed by the Ex Valve writer, Marc Laidlaw on his personal website. Half Life has always been the benchmark for all the games of this century. All the games are differentiated on the basis that they came before Half Life or after Half Life.
So, getting an update on the new episode of this game is actually a big news for the gaming fans. The story is not actually about Half Life 3 rather it is the third episode of Half life 2. Marc titles the post as “Epistle 3,” and explains what appears to be a thinly-veiled summary of Gordon Freeman’s long-missing adventure in the form of correspondence from someone named “Gertrude Fremont.”
The letter begins as
I hope this letter finds you well. I can hear your complaint already, “Gertie Fremont, we have not heard from you in ages!” Well, if you care to hear excuses, I have plenty, the greatest of them being I’ve been in other dimensions and whatnot, unable to reach you by the usual means. This was the case until eighteen months ago, when I experienced a critical change in my circumstances, and was redeposited on these shores. In the time since, I have been able to think occasionally about how best to describe the intervening years, my years of silence.
A Brief Summary of the Story
So, the story of Epistle 3 follows the journey of Gertie Fremont and his pals to the chilly Antarctica where their plane got shot out of the sky. They eventually find a defended Facility and the Aperture Science Vessel, Borealis. They get to know that Combine has erected a massive base around the Borealis. And the most amazing point about that Vessel is that it is phasing in and out of existence.
They(Gertie and Alex) first rescues Breen who consciousness has been implanted into a giant slug-like creature by the Combine and then with Dr. Judith Mossman witness the most amazing scene from Half Life, A seven hour War while traveling through time and space.
Eventually, Alex and Mossman indulge into a fight over Borealis which resulted in Alex killing Mossman and arming the Borealis to self-destruct.
And somehow, The G-Man, Alex, and Gertie(Gordon) return to Earth.
So this sums up the story of the third episode of Half Life 2. However, there are still some questions left to be answered about the story yet.
